And, as if balancing our books wasn’t enough hard work, she’s also been studying Human Resource Management for two years. She passed with flying colours and can now use Assoc CIPD after her name.

Richard knows M&S inside out, having worked with them for more than a decade. Stephanie is an expert at organising shoots (and we all know that great photography takes loads of planning). Working closely with Sam, our Head Shoot Producer, she’s always on the ball. She’s worked client side at M&S as Publications Coordinator, so she knows exactly what it takes to make magazines and catalogues that really work.

Sam makes shoots happen – she seeks out the best locations, finds the most talented people from photographers to models (it helps that she used to be a model booker), manages the merchandisers, handles the budgets, organises every last detail meticulously and, because she’s always cool and collected, keeps everyone happy on
the shoot.

Zoe has just joined us from Red, where she’s been revamping the living section of the magazine. She’s worked for all of our favourite magazines – Donna Hay, Australian Vogue, Inside Out and GQ – art directing shoots, styling and creating inspirational designs across print and digital. She’s enjoying life in the UK (she was born here, after all) but loves the relaxed Australian attitude towards life.

Melissa’s job is all about talking – to clients and to everybody at Axon so they all know what’s happening, when and how. She’s a good communicator (clear, friendly and to the point – plus she listens). and digital.

Natasha’s our newest and youngest recruit (lucky her). She makes sure every project is delivered on time, on budget and on brand. All this sounds easy, but that’s because of her work behind the scenes to make sure everything stays on track and keeps ticking along perfectly. She’s worked in events management, so she’s organised and efficient (and knows how to throw a party).

Charles was a partner at a top 20 accountancy practice before retiring in 2013 to sail the North Atlantic in his 43ft boat! Now, ready for his next challenge in life,
he’s joined Axon to head up our finance department. Never one to sit still, he’s competed in ironman triathlons in Switzerland, Austria, France and Spain,
plus he’s run the London marathon six times, as well as competing in marathons
in New York, Berlin and Amsterdam. It’s still his dream to win one… which shows his ambition! At his day job he headed up the corporate finance department and specialised in company flotations and transaction support, so he’s a great person
to have on our team.

He’s worked all over the place, for brands including Debenhams, Asda, Laura Ashley and Early Learning Centre, and he did a spell down under before swapping Sydney for Shoreditch.

Debra has decades of experience in editing, sub-editing and writing. She oversees all the pages we produce… yes, all of them. She’s got a great eye for detail (and you’re in safe hands as she knows all about clauses, pronouns and transitive verbs). She’s also a budding garden designer (pun intended). Some people get all the talent.

Helen is one of the most industrious and inventive people we know. She’s a true hard worker who just gets it and she instinctively understands what looks good. She’s worked on Boots, John Lewis and just about every client Axon has ever had. She always says
yes because she’s a thoroughly nice,
obliging person and she somehow finds
time to design beautiful jewellery too.
A true creative.
